Township Hot Pot Restaurant

Looks like there's another new hot pot place in the Warrigal Square dining scene - Township Hot Pot Restaurant (or 道香村). My Chinese reading skills are pretty poor, but I'm told that this ad is saying (something to the effect of) they're doing a soft launch on Monday 8 August.

Good to have variety and choice I guess, but I think there's plenty of hot pot places around now... plus I can't get past the thinking that if you're going to pay money to cook your own food, you might as well buy the ingredients and DIY at home. So unless there's something powerfully compelling about this place, it's not going to be high on my list of places to try when I'm looking for something new.

Kadoya Japanese Restaurant

I've probably walked past Kadoya a few times before without paying it too much attention, but a few factors aligned recently for me to go looking for it. This little eatery in Elizabeth Arcade claims to serve "the REAL Japanese taste", and I for one don't challenge that claim. The meal I had was enjoyable enough that I think I'll be back soon to try more from the menu.

Little Nyonya Singapore

The Little Nyonya may have been a ratings winner with TV audiences for Singapore's MediaCorp TV channel 8, but I doubt the newly opened Little Nyonya Singapore will emulate such levels of success with the diners of Brisbane. Read on after the jump break to find out more.
